Examination and Promotion Rules(English medium)
CLASS I TO VIII
1. As per CBSE guidelines under CCE, there will be four Formative
Assessments. The 1st Summative Assessment will be held in the month of
September and the SA-II in the month of March every year
2. It is compulsory for all the students to appear in all the above mentioned assessments without fail.
3. A students has to secure at least ‘D’ grade (33%-40%) marks or
4.0 grade points) in all the academic subjects individually to qualify
for the next higher class.
4. Overall grade secured by a student in each academic subject of
scholastic area will be calculated as per his/her performance in
Formative Assessments and Summative Assessments carrying the weightage
of all in the final results.
FA-1- (10%) + FA-2-(10%) + SA-1-(30%)
FA-3- (10%) + FA-4-(10%) + SA-2-(30%)
5. A minimum of 80% attendance in school is the pre-requisite for a students to get promotion to the next higher class.
6. Promotion from Class XI to XII is granted as per the CBSE
guidelines i.e. minimum 33% marks book in theory and practical
separately.
Examination and Promotion Rules(ODIA MEDIUM)
CLASS I TO VIII
1. It is compulsory for all students to appear in the Half Yearly & Annual Examination.
2. A student has to secure 30% marks in individual subjects and 33% of marks in aggregate for Promotion to next higher class.
3. Grading system is applicable for minor subjects as follows Grade
“O” 90% & above, Grade “A” 80% to 89%, Grade “B” 60% to 79%, Grade
“C” 50% to 59%, Grade “D” 33% to 49%, Grade “E” less than 33% (Fail).
4. 75% attendance is required for Class promotion.
For Class IX & X, guidelines of Board of Secondary Education Odisha is strictly followed for Examination & promotion.
